Dogs in a Pile

The sandy shores of Asbury Park, New Jersey, have long been a hub for influential musicians. Dogs in a Pile, an eclectic quintet, carries on this musical legacy with a unique blend of funk, jazz, rock, and psychedelia. Their sound creates kaleidoscopic vibes that echo the past.

Formed when guitarist Jimmy Law met drummer Joe Babick, the band grew with the addition of bassist Sam Lucid, keyboardist Jeremy Kaplan, and guitarist Brian Murray. Their successful local shows built a loyal following, known as the Dog Pound, culminating in a sold-out performance at the Stone Pony in 2021. With new material, the band toured in 2022, sharing their evolving take on the Great American Songbook with fans across the country.
